You’re invited to our Family Chess Fest!
11 a.m. - 2 p.m. | Saturday, May 30
chicago’s Tuley Park (501 e. 90th placE)
Join the Chicago Chess Foundation as we celebrate the end of the academic year and another incredible season of chess, learning, and growth!
Chess Fest 2026 is a free, family-friendly event that brings together students, families, coaches, and community members to recognize all that our young people have accomplished this year—on and off the chess board.
Celebrate with us through a full afternoon of activities:
Casual & Blitz Chess – Play for fun or jump into fast-paced matches
Chess Lessons & Activity Stations – Complete challenges and earn prizes
Raffles & Giveaways – Fun and unique chess items raffled throughout the day
Live DJ – A lively soundtrack for the celebration
Food by Fat Plate Fridays – Great eats on-site
Throughout the year, Chicago Chess Foundation students have built critical thinking skills, confidence, and community through chess. Chess Fest is a chance to come together, reflect on their achievements, and kick off a summer of continued growth.
Chess Fest is also a fundraiser that helps make our programs possible. Your support allows us to continue providing free and low-cost chess instruction, mentorship, and opportunities for students across Chicago. Admission is free, but we’re asking everyone to pay what they can to kickstart our programs for next year.
