Swiss-Style, 3 Rounds at G/15, G/20 for intermediate and advanced sections.

After a successful tournament in April, with 88 participants, CCF has decided to continue to host online tournaments for Chicagoland chess players. Our next tournament will be on May 16th, and we will have three different tournaments for tiered competition. All tournaments will begin at 10:00am, but we will have different tournaments for advanced, intermediate and novice players. Requirements for sections:

Novice Tournament: No players with a ChessKid rating over 1000 will be permitted to join.

Intermediate Tournament: Elective tournament for players with any ChessKid rating, but this is for players with at least 3-5 chess tournaments worth of experience, or a ChessKid rating of over 1000.

Advanced Tournament: Elective tournament for players with any ChessKid rating, but this is for players that have won multiple trophies at different levels in our CCF tournaments.

  • Please note that these tournaments MUST BE ACCESSED THROUGH A BROWSER and not a mobile device of any kind (phone, tablet, etc.) Visit, https://www.chesskid.com/tournaments/how-to-join-live-tournaments for more information on technical recommendations for participating in this tournament. In April, we did have a number of technical difficulties, but if players use a Google Chrome browser, we should be able to avoid a number of these problems.

Tournament Registration

*All players who registered in the April 25th tournament are already set-up to join this tournament without registering again. These players will be required to join their tournament through the waiting room, which opens at 9:45am on May 16th.
