CCF Tournament Location Guide – Newton Bateman Elementary School

4220 N Richmond St, Chicago, IL 60618

Parking: There is a school parking lot accessible from Sacramento Ave. as well as street parking available. After parking, please walk around to the opposite side of the building to enter on Richmond Street.

Entrance: All participants will enter through Door #1 accessible from Richmond Street. 

Sign-in tables: Sign-in tables will be located at the entrance to the auditorium in the main lobby. 

Skittles area*: This will be located in the cafeteria.

Tournament Playing Area: Games will be played in the auditorium.

Tournament Directors room: in the auditorium/playing area. No one is allowed into the TD room unless welcomed in by a staff member. If you have questions, please inquire in the volunteer room.

Volunteer Room: In the auditorium/playing area.

Food sales: Lunch and snacks will be provided at this event. 

Trophy Presentation/ Opening Announcements: These will be in the auditorium.

*“Skittles” in the chess world refers to the area where players, teams and families can meet and wait between playing rounds. Families and smaller teams are encouraged to arrive early to find a space for their groups in the skittles area. However, we ask that everyone be respectful and create room for all tournament attendees.*
